Key Responsibilities
Conducts chart reviews and communicates with clinicians to ensure accurate clinical documentation
Identifies gaps in medical records and queries clinicians for complete documentation
Collaborates with coding staff and other educators to develop training based on documentation trends
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
RN, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, or CCS-P with CPMA or other relevant accreditation required
At least three years of coding experience or equivalent training/education
Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
Familiarity with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications
