Special Ed Teacher - Raleigh, North Carolina

Located in Raleigh, NC, this full-time contract position seeks an experienced Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with middle grades and will provide resource support in ELA and Math for 2-3 Early Childhood Special (ECS) students.Responsibilities include:Delivering instruction in resource ELA and Math classes tailored to the needs of ECS studentsSupporting an academic skills class as well as an occupational skills classCollaborating closely with an existing full-time ECTA who has established a relationship with the ECS studentsDeveloping and writing thorough and compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for studentsMaintaining consistent communication with staff to ensure student progress and appropriate accommodationsQualifications:Demonstrated experience teaching Early Childhood Special Education, particularly with middle-grade studentsAbility to write clear, effective IEPs in alignment with state and federal guidelinesStrong skills in teaching resource subjects such as ELA and MathExperience supporting students with a range of academic and occupational skills needs
