Trident Consulting is seeking a " Parts Coordinator" for one of our client in " Houston, TX (Onsite)" A global leader in business and technology services.Please find additional details about the role below:Job Title: Parts CoordinatorLocation:Houston, TX (Onsite)Pay Rate:$24/hr-$33/hr on W2 (All Inclusive)Type:ContractDuration:12+ MonthsJob OverviewRole SummaryAs a Parts Coordinator, you will ensure internal teams receive the right parts on time, with clear updates and proactive follow-through. You will manage day-to-day parts operations, including purchase requisition creation, vendor expediting, due-date updates, and support for parts order processing. Your role directly supports OTIF improvement, backlog reduction, and fast turnaround for service execution.Key ResponsibilitiesParts OperationsCreate, submit for approval, and release material purchase requisitions in the ERP systemCoordinate with procurement to ensure timely PO placement and resolve discrepanciesProcess internal and external parts orders as needed to support the teamUpdate parts due dates and maintain accuracy in shared tracking sheetsSupport PMs with parts status updates and ensure clear communication on risks, changes, and expected timelinesSupplier Coordination & ExpeditingFollow up with vendors to expedite parts, reduce lead times, and prevent missed due datesTrack open vendor orders and escalate delays or issues proactivelyCommunicate daily/weekly updates to parts team and PMs to ensure transparencyShipping & Logistics SupportWork closely with warehouse and shipping teams to verify requisition accuracyConfirm correct part handling and assist in tracking part movement to support on-time deliveryCollaboration & CommunicationPartner with Parts & Tooling Specialists, Parts Professionals, PM teams, Procurement, and other stakeholdersEnsure stakeholders receive timely updates that help drive OTIF performanceSupport the Parts Team by maintaining data in Excel trackers and required documentationQualifications1–3 years of experience in parts operations, supply chain, procurement, or logisticsERP proficiency (training can be provided on internal systems)Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple open itemsClear and professional communication with high follow-through and urgencyPreferred: Experience in industrial equipment, rotating machinery, or aftermarket service environmentsWhat You'll BringA proactive, fast-paced work style focused on expediting parts and reducing delaysOwnership and accountability to close the loop on requisitions, vendor updates, and due-date changesA teamwork mindset across operations, PMs, procurement, and parts teamsAbility to improve OTIF and reduce backlog through consistent follow-up and communicationAbout Trident:Trident Consulting is an award-winning IT/engineering staffing company founded in 2005 and headquartered in San Ramon, CA.
