This opportunity offers an experienced hospitality professional the chance to lead a service-oriented team and oversee daily operations at a highly regarded property in Big Bear, California. As General Manager, you will be at the forefront of guest service, operational excellence, and revenue growth, playing a key role in shaping the property's reputation within a rapidly evolving market.Responsibilities:Oversee all day-to-day operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences and maintain high online reputation scores.Manage full property P&L responsibility, including budgeting, expense control, and financial reporting.Drive revenue through occupancy, ADR, and booking channel strategies.Recruit, hire, train, and develop on-site staff; establish performance standards and accountability.Foster a positive, team-oriented work culture and effectively manage seasonal staffing requirements.Partner with ownership on revenue management and marketing initiatives; optimize OTA and direct booking channels.Coordinate preventative maintenance programs and oversee vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with all regulations and safety standards.Must-Have Skills:5+ years of hospitality management experience (preferably in boutique hotel, lodge, or resort settings).Strong track record managing budgets and driving revenue outcomes.Proven operational leadership with hands-on management style.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Experience overseeing guest service excellence and maintaining property standards.Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and revenue platforms.Ability to lead, motivate, and develop on-site team members.Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience with seasonal resort operations or mountain destination markets.Background managing OTA relationships and optimizing booking channels.Direct experience engaging with local tourism boards or business community partnerships.Ability to identify and implement strategies for increasing direct bookings.Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and vendor management practices.
