We are currently seeking a Materials Coordinator to help serve our connection of clients and community. This role is crucial in ensuring our project sites are equipped with the right materials at the right time, supporting the successful execution of our engineering and construction projects.Your Primary Responsibilities will includeCoordinate the procurement, delivery, and inventory of construction materials for civil engineering projectsTrack material usage and delivery schedules to ensure timely availability of resources on job sitesCollaborate with project managers, field staff, and procurement teams to forecast material needsReview material specifications and ensure compliance with project plans, codes, and standardsMaintain detailed records of material orders, receipts, and deliveriesAssist with vendor relationships, including sourcing materials and negotiating pricing and delivery termsConduct regular site visits to monitor material storage, usage, and qualitySupport QA/QC efforts by ensuring material certifications and submittals are properly filed and approvedWhat you'll needIDOT Aggregate Technician or Mixture Aggregate TechnicianIDOT Portland Cement Concrete Levels I and IIIDOT Hot Mix Asphalt Levels I and IIIDOT S-33 SoilsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)2+ years of experience in materials coordination, procurement, or logistics within the construction or engineering industryStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management or ERP software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, Primavera)Understanding of civil construction materials and specifications (e.g., concrete, aggregates, pipe, geotextiles)Ability to communicate clearly with field crews, suppliers, and project managers Gonzalez Offers Competitive Benefits including:Competitive salaryMajor medical, dental and vision insuranceFlexible Spending AccountHealth Savings Account401KBonus programPaid holidays and generous paid time offProfessional developmentA team of creative and talented individuals to work alongsideGonzalez is a rapidly growing, dynamic, professional services firm specializing in civil engineering, construction management, and construction inspection.
