Mechanisms/ Payload Internship - Fall 2026

Own or contribute to hardware or software design to support development of spacecraft or payload.Create or support test campaigns and build test stands.Perform necessary analysis to support development and testing.Collaborate with subject matter experts from various technical disciplines.Work on impactful projects critical to Varda’s success.Utilize programming and mechatronics skills in project contributions.Gain experience in a collaborative startup environment.Experience with mechanical CAD (NX preferred).Experience designing, building, and/or operating electromechanical hardware (motors, sensors, etc.).Basic programming skills in at least one language (Python preferred).Comfort using common hand tools and interest in learning machine tools.Pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in relevant engineering disciplines.Previous internship or co-op experience preferred.Experience on technical project teams (e.g., Rocket club, Formula SAE) is a plus.
