EEOCivil Engineering & Survey Interns Kier & Wright is searching for Civil Engineering Summer Interns for 2026 in most of our offices (Austin, Gilroy, Irvine, Livermore, Sacramento, and Santa Clara)! Interns will work alongside our engineering staff on exciting land development projects, relating their acquired classroom knowledge and skills to real-world experiences.Interns May Work OnAutoCAD Civil 3D DraftingAssisting with hydraulic & stormwater draftingGrading, drainage, and utility plansAttending client meetingsTopographic mappingALTA boundariesParcel mapsRecords of surveyPlats & legalField checksRequired QualificationsEnrolled in areas of study relevant to the business such as engineering, geomatics, and other related fields.Preferred Junior / Senior year students attaining their bachelor's degree, or completing their master's program.Good interpersonal abilities for working in a team environmentExcellent written and oral communication skillsExperience with AutoCAD Civil3D & Bluebeam preferredPrevious internship/work experience is a plusE.I.T certification is a plusPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR WORKING CONDITIONSProlonged periods of sittingInteracting with technology Prolonged periods of standing/walking/driving (field checks)
