Operations Manager - Portable Sanitation Services

Arnold's Environmental Services, Inc. and Sanitation Technologies LTD are seeking a hands-on, experienced Operations Manager to lead daily field, yard, fleet, equipment, dispatch support, safety, and team performance for our portable sanitation operations.This role is ideal for a practical, operations-focused leader who enjoys managing people, equipment, logistics, and service execution in a fast-paced environment. The Operations Manager will play a key role in improving efficiency, strengthening safety practices, supporting driver and technician development, maintaining equipment readiness, and helping the company continue to grow.What You'll DoAs Operations Manager, you will oversee daily operations across the yard, field, fleet, dispatch, and service teams. Responsibilities include:Managing yard operations, equipment readiness, staging, cleaning, organization, and repair coordination.Coordinating portable restrooms, restroom trailers, trucks, tanks, supplies, and operational assets.Supporting dispatch planning, route efficiency, deliveries, pickups, special events, and emergency service needs.Partnering with mechanics to prioritize preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and fleet readiness.Supervising drivers, technicians, and yard personnel with clear expectations, coaching, training, and accountability.Training team members on safe equipment operation, trailer handling, backing, placement, and jobsite navigation.Leading safety initiatives, toolbox talks, audits, inspections, incident reviews, and compliance efforts.Supporting DOT, OSHA, environmental, fleet safety, and company requirements.Tracking inventory, equipment condition, downtime, labor utilization, route efficiency, and service productivity.Identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing practical process improvements.This is a hands-on leadership position. The right candidate should be willing to step into field service, dispatch support, deliveries, route assistance, customer service recovery, or emergency operations when business needs require it.Salary: $74,999-$80,000 per yearWhat We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to keep people, equipment, routes, maintenance, safety, and customer service moving together effectively.Required QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in operations, logistics, field service, transportation, or related management.Experience managing field teams, drivers, technicians, yard personnel, or service crews.Experience coordinating logistics, routing, dispatch, or daily service operations.Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and accountability skills.Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, hands-on operating environment.Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, fleet operations, or service equipment.Valid driver's license.Ability to use operational software, routing systems, spreadsheets, and basic business technology.Preferred Qualifications Experience in portable sanitation, waste services, environmental services, construction support, trucking, logistics, rental equipment, or field service.Experience working with diesel mechanics or fleet maintenance teams.Experience with preventative maintenance programs or fleet/equipment performance tracking.Experience training drivers on trailer handling, backing, jobsite navigation, and equipment placement.CDL Class B license or willingness to obtain one.Experience with Routeware or similar routing/dispatch software.Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, environmental, and fleet safety requirements.Work EnvironmentThis position includes work in the office, yard, shop, dispatch setting, customer jobsites, and active field service environments.
