Context Engineer
Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?We are embedding GenAI into everyday workflows for Financial Advisors and operational teams—starting with simple, high-value prompt use cases and expanding into agent-enabled experiences.This role is a frontline builder.As a Context Engineer (Prompt Analyst), you will focus on: Creating high-quality saved prompts that advisors and teams use daily Supporting agent workflows by designing and refining the prompts and context that drive themThis is a new capability for the organization. You will play a critical role in proving how GenAI can deliver real, measurable productivity gains—quickly and safely.What will you do? Build and Maintain Saved Prompts (Primary Focus)Design simple, reusable prompts for internal AI tools (e.g., copilot-style usage)Support high-frequency workflows such as:Client summaries and insightsMeeting preparation and follow-upsBook of business reviewsOperational and service tasksEnsure prompts are:Easy to useConsistent in outputGrounded in the right business contextContinuously refine prompts based on user feedback and observed performance Support Agent Prompt DevelopmentWork with the Agent Lead and AI Engineering to:Build and test prompts used inside agent workflowsStructure inputs and outputs for multi-step processesHelp improve how agents:Interpret instructionsUse data and toolsGenerate reliable responses Translate Business Needs into Effective PromptsPartner closely with advisors and business teams to understand:What they are trying to accomplishWhere GenAI can help (and where it should not be used)Convert real-world workflows into:Clear prompt instructionsStructured inputs and expected outputsApply wealth management context (clients, accounts, portfolios, compliance considerations) Test, Evaluate, and Improve Output QualityRun structured testing on prompts to evaluate:Accuracy and completenessConsistency across runsRisk of hallucination or misinterpretationIdentify failure patterns and refine prompts accordinglySupport lightweight evaluation approaches (prompt comparisons, A/B testing) Contribute to Prompt Standards and Best PracticesHelp document and maintain:Prompt templates and reusable patternsGuidance on when to use simple prompts vs. more complex solutionsEnsure prompts align with:Data privacy expectationsAI governance and risk standardsWhat do you need to succeed?Must-haveExperience working with GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) in a hands-on, applied wayDemonstrated ability to:Write clear, structured promptsIterate based on output qualityStrong problem-solving skills with ability to break down business tasks into stepsComfort working with both:Business stakeholders (advisors, operations)Technical teams (AI engineering, data)Basic technical fluency:Understanding of APIs, structured data (JSON), or similar conceptsAbility to work in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environmentNice to haveExposure to:Prompt engineering techniques (few-shot, role prompting, structured outputs)Agent frameworks or workflow automation toolsBackground in financial services or wealth managementExperience with:Data analysis or business analysisUser experience or workflow designWhat’s in it for you?Be part of building a new GenAI capability from the ground upWork on solutions that are used daily by Financial AdvisorsGain hands-on experience with:Prompt engineeringAgent workflowsReal-world AI applications in a regulated industryOperate in a high-visibility, fast-learning environment with direct business impactThe good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $80,000 - $140,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.
