You’ll be part analyst, part problem-solver, and part project manager—owning critical processes that directly impact the member experience.What You’ll DoPlan Analysis and ConfigurationEvaluate system capabilities and support the rollout of new or updated benefit plansLead benefit configuration projects with internal teams and external vendorsIdentify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency through automationSystems Ownership and Quality AssuranceManage key systems such as Central Benefits Driver (CBD) and Master Health Plan (MHP)Perform audits, testing, and validation to ensure data accuracy and complianceTroubleshoot configuration and data-related issuesSubject Matter Expertise and SupportServe as the primary resource for benefit design and configuration questionsProvide documentation, insights, and guidance to internal stakeholdersSupport front-line teams with clear and accurate informationCross-Functional Collaboration and CompliancePartner with IT, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and vendorsSupport regulatory filings (e.g., SERFF, QHP, CalHEERS)Contribute to member-facing materials such as Welcome Kits and Summary of BenefitsProject and Process ManagementCoordinate incoming work requests and manage prioritiesTrack deliverables and ensure timely implementation of benefit changesMaintain documentation for systems, processes, and updatesWhat You BringEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree (preferred)~2+ years in benefits administration or a related fieldTechnical & Industry KnowledgeUnderstanding of medical and pharmacy benefit structuresFamiliarity with healthcare systems and regulationsExperience with Facets (a plus)Tools & SkillsStrong analytical skills (Excel, Access, Word required; Smartsheet a plus)Exceptional attention to detail in a highly regulated environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesCore StrengthsCritical thinking and problem-solvingClear communication and collaborationOwnership mindset with a focus on quality and accuracyThis role ensures that benefit plans are built accurately, delivered on time, and maintained in compliance—directly impacting both operational effectiveness and the member experience.Western Health Advantage is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to employees and applicants for employment on the basis of merit and without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, ancestry, military or veteran status, or any other basis made unlawful by federal or state law.Western Health Advantage values and supports the unique talents and strengths that each employee brings to our organization.
