As our Senior Manager, Accounting, you'll be a key player in keeping the financial engine running cleanly across a growing, multi-entity organization. This isn't a role where you'll be watching from the sidelines. You'll be hands-on in the close process, owning reconciliations, supporting audits, and making sure the numbers that inform our decisions are ones we can stand behind.Reporting to the Controller and working closely with the Director, Accounting, you'll bring rigor and reliability to our day-to-day accounting operations — and you'll have the opportunity to grow with a business that's building something genuinely different.What You'll DoOwn the CloseExecute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across multiple entities — journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, on time and on pointMaintain general ledger integrity through disciplined entries, balance sheet analysis, and timely account reconciliationsAssist in the preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAPKeep the Books Clean Across EntitiesProcess and reconcile intercompany transactions across IRG Ventures entitiesEnsure GAAP compliance and adherence to internal accounting policies in all areas of responsibilityAdhere to and support internal controls; identify and escalate concerns as appropriateSupport Audit & CompliancePrepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to auditor requests in coordination with the Controller and Director, AccountingAssist with tax reporting and compliance activities in partnership with external advisors as directedImprove & CollaborateContribute to the optimization of Sage Intacct and other accounting tools to improve efficiency and scalabilityPartner with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of business activitiesSupervise and develop accounting staff as applicable, creating a culture of accuracy and accountabilityRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting required5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting rolesExperience with general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliationsExperience working in multi-entity or complex organizational structures preferredFamiliarity with Sage Intacct or similar ERP/accounting systems preferredPreferred QualificationsCPA designation preferred or actively pursuingExperience supporting external audits and preparing audit documentationBackground in intercompany accountingFamiliarity with tax reporting and compliance requirementsWho You AreA hands-on accounting professional who takes ownership and follows through — every close, every reconciliation, every timeDetail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture; you catch errors before they become problemsA clear communicator who can translate financial information for both accounting and non-accounting audiencesCollaborative by nature — you build trust across teams and work well alongside strong leadersContinuously looking for ways to improve the process, not just repeat itSomeone who handles sensitive financial information with professionalism and discretionYou take care of the work.
