HR Contractor – Payroll & Immigration SupportRedwood City, CA | Hybrid (3 Days Onsite) Monday–Friday | 8 Hours per DayAbout the RoleTRS Staffing is partnering with a growing organization in Redwood City to hire an HR Contractor to support payroll operations, immigration coordination, and core HR compliance. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role designed to offload administrative and operational work from the Talent Acquisition team and keep employee processes running smoothly.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the work, supporting employees, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across HR processes.What You’ll DoPayroll SupportSupport end-to-end payroll activities, including preparing, reviewing, and assisting with payroll approvalsManage payroll changes, new hire setup, onboarding updates, and terminationsPartner with Finance and Accounting; apply basic payroll accounting knowledgeEnsure payroll data accuracy and timely execution (LHMP experience a plus, not required)Immigration Support (Intermediate Level)Coordinate with immigration attorneys and external legal vendorsPrepare and manage immigration-related forms and documentationTrack timelines and support compliance requirementsCollect and manage wet signatures and in-office documentationRespond to basic employee immigration questions (not an expert role)HR Operations & ComplianceServe as a point of contact for employee HR inquiriesSupport HR compliance documentation and internal processesAssist with internal PR/PO requests and approvalsProvide onsite HR support as neededAdditional SupportAssist with assembling and distributing new hire swag kitsSupport ad hoc HR administrative needsWhat We’re Looking ForHands-on payroll experience (required)Intermediate experience supporting employment-based immigrationStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsComfortable working with internal stakeholders and external legal partnersService-oriented mindset with strong communication skillsAbility to work onsite in Redwood City at least 3 days per weekNice to HaveExperience in HR operations in a corporate or high-growth environmentFamiliarity with HRIS or payroll systemsStrong customer-service and execution mindsetWork ModelHybrid: 3 days onsite (may be more flexible over time)Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hoursThis is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys payroll, compliance, immigration coordination, and being hands-on in a collaborative office environment.If you want, I can also:Shorten this further for LinkedIn “Easy Apply”Create a LinkedIn recruiter post captionAdjust seniority (more junior vs more experienced tone)Add pay rate or length of contract language
