Labor and Employment Associate

An AmLaw Top 100 firm are looking to hire a Labor & Employment Associate (4-8 years PQE) to join their Hospitality team.They have built a particularly strong middle-market client base — meaning the work is consistently available, substantive, and varied rather than overly segmented across large teams. Compared to many peers, Associates here are closer to the work and closer to clients.The team is intentionally lean, structured more like an upside-down pyramid, which means Associates have genuine exposure to Partners and aren't buried several layers down the hierarchy. Good responsibility is given early and continues to grow with seniority — first-years have handled depositions as an example of the firm's commitment to Associate development.What you'll be doingTake the lead as first-chair on discrimination and wage and hour litigation, managing matters from initial pleadings through to trial or resolution.Handle class action wage and hour cases, including drafting motions, managing discovery, and advising on litigation strategy.Counsel employer clients on day-to-day employment matters under New York State and New York City law.If this role sounds of interest, please apply or reach out directly.
