ABOUT THE ROLE This position reports to the various Plant Supervisors. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. The primary objective of this position is to perform electrical /maintenance processes through the proper installation, repair and preventative maintenance of plant equipment. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH \n\nSafely perform simple to complex electrical repairs and installs within a manufacturing setting\nUnderstand and comply with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies to assure that environment, health and safety are the first priority of the business. Actively support key safety initiatives at the facility and assist the department as needed to improve EHS performance and results.\nResponsible for planning jobs.\nDocuments new and existing electrical installations.\nResponsible for mechanical and electrical design and installation.\nRepairs critical equipment with available parts.\nInstalls, repairs and performs preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment\nMust be able to work within a team environment as well as independently.\nMust be able to communicate to multiple levels within the organization Results/Accountabilities:\nEnsure compliance with internal control procedures\nunwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law\nAbility to work independently, self-starter, yet able to participate within a team environment\nAbility to operate equipment effectively\nMust keep all company property in good working order and clean.\nMust understand equipment functions and processes of the primary areas\nDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these\nbehaviors.\n\n WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR \n\nMust have an Associate's degree in the electrical or electronics field or equivalent training.\nAbility to work independently.\nMust have knowledge to proficiently utilize PLC/PC's.\nWillingness to work overtime and respond to call-in.• Previous surface mining experience preferred but not required\nBasic math, reading, and writing skills are required (English)\nElectrical and mechanical skills are required\nPhysical Requirement & Conditions:\nMust wear all Protective equipment as required by MSHA and to meet Company standards.\nMust be able to pass pre-employment physical/drug/alcohol test Knowledge and Skills:\nAbility to complete simple to complex electrical repairs and installs\nKnowledge of products, industry terminology\nMust be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits\nPunctual and reliable; good attendance required\nGood communication skills - verbal and listening\nPositive, courteous, and helpful approach\nMotivated and eager to learn new skills\nWilling to work overtime and weekends as needed\nLocal USW 1117 preferred\n\n Additional Requirements \n\nSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
