Taylor Root is our dedicated legal recruitment brand, specializing in placing top talent across private practice and in-house legal teams globally.We’re known for our deep market expertise, people-first culture, and long-term partnerships with clients and candidates.The RoleThis is a full-cycle (360) recruitment role focused exclusively on in-house legal hiring, partnering with a range of organizations from mid-sized businesses to global corporates.As a Senior Recruiter, you will own your desk end-to-end—driving business development, managing client relationships, and delivering high-quality legal talent solutions through to placement.This role is ideal for an experienced recruiter with a strong understanding of the in-house legal market, who enjoys consultative selling and operating a desk as a true business.What You’ll DoOwn and operate a full 360 recruitment desk within the in-house legal marketDevelop and manage relationships with corporate legal teams and hiring managers across industriesDrive new business through outbound BD, networking, referrals, and targeted market mappingLead detailed job intakes and act as a trusted advisor on hiring strategy, compensation, and market trendsSource, engage, and interview in-house legal professionals, including counsel, senior counsel, and leadership rolesConduct in-depth candidate assessments covering technical legal expertise, commercial acumen, and cultural fitManage processes end-to-end including interview coordination, feedback, offer negotiation, and closeDeliver a consistently high-quality experience to both candidates and clientsMaintain accurate CRM records and ensure best-practice recruitment processesShare market intelligence and hiring insights with clients and internal stakeholdersSupport and mentor junior team members where appropriateWhat We’re Looking For3–5+ years of agency recruitment experience, with demonstrated 360 desk ownershipProven experience recruiting within in-house legal (required) or a closely related legal marketStrong understanding of corporate legal functions, structures, and hiring needsDemonstrated success in business development and client relationship managementStrong candidate sourcing, engagement, and closing capabilitiesConfident, consultative communicator with a commercial, revenue-driven mindsetHighly organized, self-driven, and comfortable managing multiple live searchesMotivated by performance targets, growth, and long-term desk development
