Title: Sr Payroll Manager – Global Payroll, Workday, ComplianceLocation: Greater Cambridge Area, MA (Hybrid 4 days onsite)Employment Type: ContractStatus: Accepting CandidatesAbout the roleSeeking an experienced payroll leader to oversee complex global payroll operations across U.S. and international environments. This role will drive payroll accuracy, compliance, vendor governance, and process optimization while partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Tax, Legal, and compensation teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end global payroll operations across multi-state, multi-entity U.S. payroll and international payroll cyclesManage payroll governance including bi-weekly, monthly, off-cycle processing, compliance controls, and audit readinessOversee external payroll vendors and outsourced payroll delivery, ensuring service quality and issue resolutionSupport equity payroll, year-end tax activities, reconciliations, and jurisdictional filingsPartner on expatriate, shadow payroll, and global mobility payroll processesDrive process improvements, automation, Workday reporting, and payroll data integrityQualificationsBachelor’s degree required8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including global payroll operationsDeep hands-on expertise with Workday PayrollStrong experience with multi-state, multi-entity U.S. payroll complianceExperience managing outsourced global payroll vendorsKnowledge of SOX compliance, expatriate payroll, shadow payroll, and equity payroll processesCompensation (MA Pay Transparency):Estimated hourly range: $75–$80/hr (W-2).Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
