We will train the right candidate.Summary: The Service Plumber assembles, installs, or repairs pipes, fittings, or fixtures, of domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, heating, and other piping systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. The Service Plumber is also responsible for delivering high quality work and productivity. The Service Plumber is also required to work diligently to become a skilled Journeyman Plumber.Essential Job Functions:Represent Krohmer Plumbing in a professional mannerEnsure that all work is in accordance with federal, state, and local plumbing codesTroubleshoot, repair, replace, fabricate, and install plumbing and piping systemsDesign and layout workRepair and install various types of pipes including iron, steel, copper, PVC, and cast ironOrder parts and material for service callsStock and inventory service van with necessary material to make repairsComplete service tickets thoroughlyDocument customer equipment model and serial numbersWork required hours to hit mandatory deadlinesParticipate in the training and development of ApprenticesKeep area clean and organizedDetermine the right tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete a jobOperate power tools and equipmentMaintain tools and equipment in good working orderEvaluate Foreman, Journeyman and Apprentices when requestedOther duties assignedRequired Skills:Good customer service skillsExcellent problem solving skillsThorough knowledge of plumbing and piping installationCompetent, responsible, organized, and team-orientedStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to follow instructionsStrong mechanical skills.Ability to work independentlyValid driver's license and good driving recordEducation and Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentLeadership skillsDemonstrated skills and knowledge of the tradeMust possess and maintain an active state and city license in all cities and states you perform work inPhysical Capabilities:Heavy lifting, carrying, and operation of tools and equipment up to 100 lbs.Ability to work on ladders and high placesProlonged standing and frequent bending, stopping, and reaching on a daily basisMust be able to travel as neededAble to legally work in the United StatesPass a drug testNotes:This position description is intended to provide a fairly comprehensive and accurate description of the position, but it will not cover all aspects, details, or tasks required.
