Structural Welder

Job Description :We are currently seeking experienced Structural Welders to join our team at Blount Island Naval Base. This role involves performing high-quality welding on structural steel components in support of military and defense-related operations. Candidates must be dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working in a secure, regulated environment.Key Responsibilities:Perform structural welding using FCAW, SMAW, and/or GMAW processesRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbolsFabricate and assemble metal structures according to specificationsEnsure all work meets quality and safety standardsConduct inspections of completed welds to verify complianceMaintain tools and equipment in proper working conditionRequirements:Proven experience as a structural welder (2+ years preferred)Proficiency with structural welding techniques and equipmentAbility to pass welding tests as requiredStrong understanding of safety procedures and OSHA standardsReliable transportation and punctualitySecurity Requirement (Important):This position is located on a secure military installation.All candidates must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and obtain base access clearance.
