Title: ControllerLocation: Alabaster, AL (Onsite)About the Opportunity:Our client, a well-established commercial construction company, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys improving processes, partnering with executive leadership, and helping a growing organization continue to scale. If you're looking for a role where you can make a meaningful impact while leading the accounting function, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll Do:· Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.· Oversee job costing and project profitability reporting to support operational decision-making.· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.· Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.· Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting to support continued company growth.· Lead and mentor the accounting and administrative team while fostering a collaborative environment.· Work closely with the company's external CPA and serve as a trusted financial partner to leadership.What We're Looking For:· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.· 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including previous Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager experience.· Construction accounting and job costing experience strongly preferred.· Experience leading accounting teams and implementing process improvements.· ERP experience required; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to partner directly with leadership.
