Role Description This is a full-time on-site position located in Pomona, CA, for a Sous Chef with Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting in menu planning, food preparation, and managing kitchen operations while ensuring high-quality culinary standards. Additional responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols, tracking inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Sous Chef will play a key role in collaboration with the Head Chef to create a memorable dining experience. Qualifications Strong culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and understanding of flavor profilesExperience in menu planning, recipe development, and portion controlProficiency in kitchen management, including staff supervision, scheduling, and trainingKnowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and inventory managementStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to handle high-pressure situations and maintain quality standardsExperience in high-volume cooking and catering is a plusCulinary degree or equivalent experience preferredServSafe or other food handler certification is a plus
