If you share these five values, come and join our team.Position purpose Life Safety Services Inspectors inspect, install and repair passive fire products such as fire and smoke dampers and provide services that deliver solutions that give our customers peace of mind.Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/TasksTesting the operability of fire & smoke dampers in healthcare and commercial facilities per the National Fire Protection Association codeMaking non-accessible dampers accessibleMay install access doors and sheet metalPerforms minor repairs to fire and smoke dampersPerform quality work within deadlines with or without supervisionProviding accurate documentation for customer code compliance· Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizationsMaintain professional, timely communication with customers and with other staff members across all levels of the companyAttend Job Training SessionsOpenness to learning additional passive fire protection servicesComplete additional courses required by the company QualificationsExperience in customer service and working with the publicExperience in mechanical, HVAC, hanging ductwork, electrical repair and installation preferredExperience and comfort using hand toolsExperience in carpentry, drywall, and insulation knowledge a plusAbility to interpret blueprints, life safety drawings, etc.Must have ability to work in a variety of circumstances including climbing ladders, scaffolds and high-lift equipment with maximum load of 250 lbsMust be able to work in ducts, crawl spaces and above ceilings that all have limited spaceGood recordkeeping and tracking of inspections in facilitiesSome knowledge of computers (Microsoft Word, Excel and Email) Minimum Requirements· Valid Driver's License· Must be at least 21 years of age· Background & drug test· Travel – Minimum 10 days gone, 4 day- home rotation· Must provide own toolsProfessional appearance"We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law".
