Forklift Operator

Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure efficient loading, unloading, and movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and the ability to work collaboratively with warehouse supervisors and team members. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers, to move products safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse. Load and unload shipments, ensuring accuracy in the shipping and receiving process. Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and maintain accurate records within the warehouse management system. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure all operational goals are met. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe operation. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist in building pallets and preparing shipments for distribution. Qualifications Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a distribution center is preferred. Proficiency in using RF scanners and familiarity with warehouse management systems. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while following instructions from supervisors. Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy loads, and navigate the warehouse safely. A valid forklift certification is required; additional certifications are a plus.
