Schedule: Full-time | 1st Shift | Monday–Thursday | 5:00 AM–3:00 PM | Occasional overtime/weekendsJob OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Kitting Group Leader to supervise shop-floor materials flow and lead a team of hourly employees in a unionized manufacturing environment. This role ensures production lines are continuously supplied, inventory is accurately managed, and daily kitting and distribution activities support production schedules without disruption.You will serve as the on-shift leader for your area, coordinating between production, warehouse, and supply chain teams to maintain smooth and efficient operations.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership (Union Environment)Supervise hourly material handlers and kitting staff in a unionized environmentManage scheduling, attendance, timekeeping, and vacation approvalsProvide training, coaching, and performance managementEnsure compliance with union agreements and work collaboratively with union representativesAddress workforce issues, staffing needs, and employee concerns professionallyShop-Floor Materials & Production SupportOversee daily kitting, materials distribution, and inventory control activitiesEnsure production lines are fully supplied with required materialsCoordinate material flow between production, warehouse, and purchasing teamsSupport multi-area operations and ensure proper routing of materials and finished goodsInventory ManagementConduct cycle counts and inventory auditsMonitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with warehouse teamsEnsure materials align with production schedules and demand requirementsMaintain inventory accuracy and reduce shortages, delays, or excess stockProblem Solving & Operational SupportResolve supply chain issues, including shortages, delays, damage, or discrepanciesPrevent production disruptions through proactive coordinationMonitor team and operational performance against production goalsProcess Improvement & ReportingIdentify and implement improvements in kitting and materials flow efficiencyReduce waste and improve operational productivityGenerate reports on inventory levels, delivery performance, and staffing coverageMaintain accurate records for attendance, labor tracking, and complianceSafety & ComplianceEnsure adherence to safety standards and required training completionSupport compliance with company policies and union agreementsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)2–3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or distributionDirect experience managing hourly employees in a unionized environmentHands-on experience with shop-floor materials flow, kitting, or inventory operationsExperience with scheduling, time & attendance, and performance management systemsStrong communication, leadership, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsDegree or certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fieldExperience in kitting/fulfillment, inventory auditing, or multi-site coordinationBackground in large-scale manufacturing or distribution operationsProven experience driving process improvements or operational efficiency initiativesAdditional InformationLocation: Ripon, WI 54971 (commute within ~30–45 minutes preferred: Fond du Lac, Waupun, Oshkosh areas)No relocation assistance availableMust be available for 1st shift schedule (5:00 AM start)
