*Sr. Technical Program Manager* *Location:* San Diego, CA – Hybrid *Contract Duration:* 12 Months to begin with possibilities of extension up to 18 months *Schedule:* Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week *Pay Rate:* $80–$87/hour *Openings:* 2 *About the Opportunity* Our client is a leading *technology and digital services organization* seeking an experienced *Sr. Technical Program Manager* (*IT Program Manager IV) *to lead complex, large-scale technical programs within a highly collaborative, matrixed environment. This role is ideal for a strategic and data-driven program leader who can connect business strategy with technology execution, influence cross-functional teams, manage dependencies and risks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders ranging from technical teams to senior leadership. *Key Responsibilities* * Own and drive the overall program plan, connecting business-unit, portfolio, and program strategies. * Prioritize initiatives, identify risks and trade-offs, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders. * Communicate program goals, progress, risks, dependencies, and success metrics to diverse audiences. * Lead cross-functional dependency management across multiple teams and initiatives. * Break complex programs into manageable workstreams with clear ownership and accountability. * Establish status reporting and governance structures aligned with Agile principles and program needs. * Develop decision-making frameworks and recommendations to support timely execution. * Identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and secure stakeholder alignment. * Use data and program metrics to assess progress, identify potential issues, and drive informed decisions. * Influence teams and stakeholders to ensure program execution remains aligned with broader business objectives. *Required Qualifications* * *8+ years of experience* building, leading, and delivering complex, large-scale technical programs in a matrixed organization. * Strong understanding of *software development methodologies, technology architecture, and software development lifecycles*. * Hands-on experience working within *Agile environments*; Agile methodologies strongly preferred. * Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze trends, and translate business objectives into technology program execution. * Exceptional communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills. * Ability to effectively engage with individual contributors, technical teams, business leaders, and senior executives. * Strong data-driven approach to program tracking, risk assessment, prioritization, and decision-making. * Familiarity with *data analytics and AI/ML concepts* is a plus. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. * *PMP, Agile certification, or equivalent technical program management experience* is preferred. #MSP Pay: $80.00 - $87.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: Hybrid remote in San Diego, CA 92129
