Direct Support Professional - Day Program Staff

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team! You will assist in the daily care of elderly or disabled individuals. Responsibilities: Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Administer medications and monitor health conditions Implement behavior management strategies and provide emotional support Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings Document individual progress and report any concerns or incidents to the supervisor Required Skills: Experience working with individuals with autism, hospice care, or senior care is a plus 1-year experience working with developmentally disabled individuals Computer literacy using Microsoft Word; familiar Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and other team members Understanding of resident rights and ability to advocate for individual needs Must be 21 years of age or older Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid orientation Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Education: High school or equivalent (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Ability to Relocate: Princeton, NJ: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
