This role is dedicated to a single client environment and is responsible for day‑to‑day operational execution across infrastructure, cloud, identity, Microsoft 365, endpoint operations, and data protection.This position is ideal for an experienced MSP engineer who values ownership, stability, and disciplined service delivery over ticket churn or ad‑hoc project work.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure & Cloud OperationsOperate and support VMware and AWS environmentsProvision and decommission Windows and Linux serversMaintain OS build standards, capacity validation, and inventory accuracySupport Microsoft server platforms including SQL, RDS, and VDIPatch & Vulnerability ManagementExecute monthly OS patching for Windows and Linux serversSupport emergency and zero‑day patching activitiesPerform patch validation, rollback, and post‑patch verificationRemediate vulnerabilities aligned to CVSS severity and approved change windowsDocument remediation outcomes and approved exceptionsApplication Patch SupportCoordinate patching with internal application owners and third‑party vendorsExecute approved patch plans during maintenance windowsValidate application functionality post‑patchDocument dependencies, outcomes, and issuesBackup, Storage & Data ProtectionAdminister enterprise backup and recovery platforms (e.g., Rubrik, Pure Storage, Dell PowerScale, Azure Files, M365 workloads)Monitor backup jobs and remediate failuresPerform file‑level, mailbox‑level, and VM‑level restoresSupport retention, compliance alignment, and restore testingIdentity & Access ManagementAdminister Active Directory (users, groups, GPOs, OUs)Execute access change requests and decommissioning activitiesSupport Microsoft Entra ID user, role, and Conditional Access administrationMaintain identity hygiene and lifecycle processesMicrosoft 365 AdministrationAdminister Microsoft 365 tenant servicesManage licensing and configuration settingsSupport Exchange Online and hybrid environmentsPerform mailbox provisioning, permissions management, and mail‑flow troubleshootingExecute litigation hold and retention administration (administrative tasks only)Endpoint Management & Security OperationsSupport endpoint patching and vulnerability remediation at scaleEnforce CIS and approved security baselinesExecute endpoint policy enforcement and failure remediationSupport compliance and remediation reportingIncident, Request & Change ExecutionRespond to and resolve incidents across servers, endpoints, and Microsoft 365 (P1–P4)Participate in a 24×7 on‑call rotation for Priority 1 incidentsExecute approved changes in accordance with CAB and ITIL processesCoordinate escalations with vendors and internal specialist teamsContribute to root cause analysis and continuous service improvementHow This Role OperatesDedicated to a single enterprise client during business hours (staggered shifts)Works within a governed MSP framework (SDM, SLAs, CAB)Uses automation and tooling for repeatable operational tasksSupported by shared NOC, cloud, escalation, and specialist teamsOvernight ShiftRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in MSP or enterprise IT operationsStrong Windows Server and Active Directory administration skillsHands‑on VMware experience; AWS operational experience preferredMicrosoft 365 and Exchange Online administration experienceProven experience with patching, vulnerability remediation, and backupsFamiliarity with ITIL‑aligned incident, problem, and change managementExperience supporting large‑scale environments (hundreds of servers, thousands of endpoints)Strong documentation and operational disciplinePreferred QualificationsHealthcare or regulated‑industry experienceExperience with Rubrik, Citrix, Pure Storage, or similar platformsMicrosoft, VMware, or AWS certificationsWhat We OfferEnterprise‑grade environments and long‑term client engagementsClear scope, ownership, and accountabilityMature MSP operating model with strong governanceSupport from shared specialist and escalation teamsCompetitive compensation and benefitsWhy LincolnITAt LincolnIT, we focus on operational excellence, clarity, and accountability.
