We partner with businesses to tell compelling stories and connect with audiences through impactful design and strategic marketing solutions.Position OverviewOregon Media is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team full-time. This role is primarily focused on supporting our sales team by creating visually compelling materials that help secure new business.In addition, the Junior Graphic Designer will collaborate with the broader creative team to execute design projects across all publications and platforms, including print ads, digital assets, and branded content.This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow their skills across multiple disciplines.Key Responsibilities1. Sales Team SupportClient Ad Builds: Translate client requests and brand guidelines into high-quality advertisements for print, digital, and social platformsBrand Consistency: Ensure strict adherence to client style guides and maintain high attention to detail in all deliverablesMedia Kit Development: Collaborate with sales to design and maintain visually engaging media kits that effectively communicate Oregon Media’s offeringsSales Collateral Creation: Develop presentations, brochures, one-sheets, e-newsletters, and other tools to support sales initiativesNewsletter Production: Build and maintain newsletters and assist with digital publication assets2. Creative Team SupportPublication Layout Assistance: Support the Executive Creative & Brand Director and Senior Designers with magazine and publication layouts, ensuring brand consistencyIllustration & Icon Design: Create simple illustrations and icons aligned with project needs and creative directionPhoto Editing: Perform image editing tasks including background removal, color correction, and resizingPhotography: Capture basic product or lifestyle photography as needed, following established guidelinesDigital & Web Support: Collaborate with the digital team on website visuals, landing pages, and email marketing templatesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field (or equivalent experience)0–2 years of professional design experience (internships welcome)Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop required)Strong understanding of typography, layout, and branding principlesAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication and collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with digital design, email marketing, or CMS platformsBasic photography and photo editing skillsFamiliarity with web design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD)Portfolio RequirementA portfolio is required and should demonstrate work aligned with a Junior Graphic Designer role, including examples of:Print and/or digital advertisingLayout designBranding or marketing materialsAdditional InformationThis job description outlines the primary responsibilities of the role but is not exhaustive.
