Claims Adjuster

We are seeking a Claims Adjuster to join a North America-based team. This individual will be responsible for evaluating, processing, and managing insurance claims, including determining coverage and issuing indemnity payments within delegated authority.The role requires careful interpretation of policy terms, adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, and collaboration across internal teams to ensure accurate and timely claims resolution while maintaining a high level of client service.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze policy documentation and related transactions to determine claim eligibility and coverageAssess, process, and resolve claims in a timely and accurate mannerEstablish and maintain appropriate reserves for each assigned claimCommunicate effectively with clients and brokers regarding claim status, requirements, and determinationsClearly explain coverage decisions, including denials where applicablePartner with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance, and Risk functions as neededCollaborate with collections teams to support recovery efforts and inform claim outcomesContribute to process improvements and best practices within claims managementQualificationsBachelors degree in related field required. 2–3+ years of experience in claims adjusting or a similar role within the insurance industryFamiliarity with insurance, financial assessments, and transaction documentation a plusFoundational knowledge of contract law, business law, and insolvency conceptsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionallyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet performance expectations/KPIsDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
