Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Teach individual violin/viola lessons for both music majors and non-music majors.
Teach courses in string instruction/pedagogy and string literature as needed.
Assist in advising students with a string pedagogy emphasis.
Assist violin/viola students in preparing recitals and other performances.
Serve as the strings area coordinator.
Participate in music department activities and meetings.
Assist with the recruitment and retention of music students, particularly violin/viola students.

Academic Qualifications
Applicants must possess at least an accredited Master’s Degree in Violin Performance and/or pedagogy. Doctorate preferred.
Applicants should have experience in teaching violin and/or viola at the collegiate level.
Applicants should have experience in solo playing both in church and concert settings.
