Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 12 monthsbut may be extended.This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 3 days per week.Das bringst du mitPosition SummaryThe client is seeking a highly motivated C#/.NET Developer with strong database development expertise to join our Technology team in Chicago. The successful candidate will design, develop, and support enterprise applications and data solutions that power investment management, portfolio monitoring, operations, finance, risk management, and reporting functions across the firm.This role requires a hands-on software engineer who is equally comfortable building scalable .NET applications and designing robust SQL Server database solutions. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, experience working in financial services environments, and a passion for delivering high-quality technology solutions.The client is a leading private credit asset manager with more than $90 billion in capital under management and over 1,100 employees globally.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and support enterprise applications using C#, .NET, and related Microsoft technologies.Build scalable APIs, services, and backend components to support investment and operational platforms.Design and maintain SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, functions, and ETL processes.Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis.Collaborate with business stakeholders, business analysts, and technology teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.Develop data integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms.Create and maintain reporting solutions and data extracts for business users.Participate in application architecture discussions and technology roadmap planning.Support application deployments, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.Contribute to Agile development practices, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.5+ years of professional software development experience.Strong experience with:C#.NET Framework / .NET Core / .NET 8+ASP.NET MVC and/or ASP.NET CoreREST APIs and web servicesSQL ServerT-SQL programmingDatabase design and data modelingExperience developing scalable, maintainable enterprise applications.Strong understanding of relational database architecture and performance tuning.Experience with source control systems such as Git.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience within financial services, asset management, private credit, banking, or capital markets.Knowledge of investment management workflows.Experience with:Entity FrameworkAzure servicesSSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server AgentPower BIAzure DevOpsCI/CD pipelinesMicroservices architectureDocker and containerized deploymentsFamiliarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern software engineering practices.Technical SkillsApplication DevelopmentC#.NET Core / .NETASP.NET Core MVCWeb APIsEntity FrameworkLINQJSON/XML integrationsDatabase DevelopmentMicrosoft SQL ServerT-SQLStored ProceduresViews and FunctionsDatabase DesignPerformance TuningQuery OptimizationETL DevelopmentData Warehousing ConceptsTools & PlatformsVisual StudioAzure DevOpsGitSQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)Power BIJiraDas erwartet dichAbout FDMFDM powers the people behind tech and innovation.
