Futurex is seeking a Technical Writer for full-time employment at Futurex's campus in Bulverde, TX.As a Technical Writer at Futurex, you will be responsible for ensuring that the documentation for all of our products is clear, correct, comprehensive, and easy to use.Team values and cultureAbove all else, the documentation team values collaboration, results, efficiency, ownership, iteration, and transparency.You must have the ability to work in an environment where self-learning and self-service are encouraged and instilled as a part of the culture.We're looking for individuals who resonate with these values and are excited to add to our team culture.What You'll Do In This RoleYou will:Maintain technical documentation, including administrator guides, developer documents, and product training materials, using MadCap FlareParticipate in building a strong culture of communication at FuturexContinuously improve Futurex's documentation content in collaboration with engineers, solutions architects, product managers, and othersReview and edit content for all new and enhanced featuresProduce content for using Futurex hardware and software, including contextual content that clarifies why and when a user might use a featureHelp our product developers and other members of the Futurex team with documentation-related questions and projectsIdentify and address content gaps or the need for additional media such as diagrams or videosParticipate in reviews and revamps of section or page content and structureHelp review and triage incoming suggestions, corrections, and other content from the Futurex teamHelp create and review UI text, such as field labels and error messages, across our productsImprove the Futurex documentation site features and user experience in collaboration with engineers and other technical writers. These efforts might include the documentation site's design, search, build process, feedback methods, SEO, visitor analytics, versioning, and other technical componentsContribute to the improvement of team process and style, as well as cross-functional effortsRequirements Experience writing, editing, researching, and planning software or hardware documentationExcellent skills in grammar, minimalist documentation design, and effective information architectureTeaching skills that translate into excellent written workExperience with enterprise B2B technologyExperience using command-line Git, HTML/CSS, XML, and/or at least one programming language (does not have to be in a professional context)Experience with some of the following:Cybersecurity or cryptographyMadCap Flare or Adobe FrameMakerConfluence or other internal knowledge base systemsA rapidly scaling enterprise environmentBenefitsHealth, dental, vision, life, and short/long-term disability insurancePaid vacation, holidays, and sick leaveCompetitive compensation and opportunities for advancementGym on campusRetirement plan with an employer contribution matc
