Media Quality Control

A recognized entertainment organization on Long Island is actively seeking a new Quality Control Specialist to join their growing team in Nassau County. In this role, the Media Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring high standards for media content within the Broadcast & Technology unit, focusing on both digital and physical formats.About the Opportunity:Shift: VariableSchedule: Variable, including nights, weekends, and holidaysHours: FlexibleResponsibilities:Ensuring quality control evaluation of program materialsUtilizing industry quality control procedures and guidelinesProviding accurate metadata entries and reportsMaintaining effective communication with internal departmentsReporting and documenting equipment issuesPerforming other duties, as neededQualifications:Associate's and/or Bachelor's DegreeExperience in technical evaluation and troubleshootingFamiliarity with time code, frame rates, resolutions, and digital file formatsKnowledge of Video/Audio broadcast standardsOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytic skills and attention to detailAbility to collaborate with various management levels and departmentsAdaptability to new technologies and workflowsDesired Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Communications and/or TV ProductionExperience with the Evertz Mediator platformRelevant work experience in Broadcast TelevisionDesired Skills and ExperienceMedia Quality Control, Audio, Video, Broadcast, time code, reference, frame rates, resolution, aspect ratios, audio formats (Dolby/PCM)
