Facility Coordinator – Infrastructure & Maintenance
About the roleAs Facility Coordinator, you will oversee the physical infrastructure maintenance of Avianca's administrative, operational, and commercial spaces at Miami International Airport and surrounding areas. You'll be the key point of contact for maintenance requests, quality control, and vendor coordination — ensuring every space meets Avianca's service and safety standards.What you'll doRespond quickly and effectively to infrastructure damage reports from internal teams, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed service levels.Develop scope-of-work documents including architectural and technical surveys, specifications, and cost estimates for maintenance projects.Manage contracts and formal documentation with suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with Avianca's internal quality processes.Support and monitor the Facility Manager in day-to-day execution, tracking activities through to completion and sign-off.Provide 7/24 on-call availability to handle urgent infrastructure issues and ensure uninterrupted airport operations.Control and optimize budgets for both preventive and corrective maintenance activities.What we're looking forEducationDegree in Civil Engineering or ArchitectureLocation requirementBased in Miami, FL — on-site at MIALanguagesFluent Spanish & English (required)ExperienceSimilar roles locally or internationallyTechnical skillsAutoCAD – intermediate (required) Building codes & local regulations Cost & budget management Sketchup – intermediate (a plus) Preventive & corrective maintenance Vendor & contractor managementCore competenciesAgility Accountability Clear communication Technical judgement Attention to detailWhy Avianca?Be part of a team that connects Latin America and the world.
