AWS Cloud Engineer

Job Description Full Time / 130-140k / Onsite / White Plains NYThe AWS Cloud Engineer is responsible for the implementation, and optimization of cloud infrastructure and services to ensure scalability, security, and efficiency. This role involves working closely with internal teams and external vendors to support business objectives and maintain high-performance cloud environments.Leadership:Foster technical and procedural excellence within the IT department for all applicable production systems and processesFoster technical knowledge, design, and engineering excellence within the IT departmentEnsure systemic problems, sensitive customer situations, or unresolved customer Requests are escalated and distributed to IT management in a timely mannerRecommend implementation standardsCustomer and System Support:Keep IT management apprised of critical issuesIdentify, correlate, escalate, and manage ProblemsEnsure local Service Delivery approach, processes, and procedures are aligned with organizational standardsCollaborate with End User Services to ensure requests, incidents, and problems are handled in a timely manner and customer service expectations are metDesign, Engineering, and Innovation:Facilitate the acquisition and integration of new technology into the environmentIdentify and recommend new technology value to the organizationResearch technical concepts and educate other team members as neededPresent research / proposed projects to IT managementMonitoring & Optimization:Recommend improvements to systems and IT support processRecommend implementation standardsDefine implementation standardsDocumentation & Knowledge Management:Develop quality documentation of technical processes and proceduresDocument all ticket and project workEnsure documentation is sufficient to yield reproducible resultsIdentify and recommend changes with existing documentation that impacts customer supportProject Delivery:Track and complete assigned IT projectsComplete tasks in a timely and quality fashionAdhere to implementation, quality control, and change control standardsKeep IT management apprised of risks to project successQualifications3+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering or network administration, with a strong foundation in operating systems, networking protocols, and storage systems.Proven expertise in AWS networking services, including the design and implementation of highly available, secure, and scalable cloud network architectures.Strong understanding of core networking concepts, including WAN, BGP, routing, VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity.Company DescriptionTop Prospect Group founders and management team offer more than 25 years of experience in Information Technology and Creative Staffing.
