Additionally, the Controller will assist the VP of Finance with the preparation of the financial budgeting, forecasting, and other reporting demands. The ideal candidate, will have a strong accounting background that can multi-task, communicate at multiple levels and adheres to reporting deadlines.Key responsibilities include:Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions.Managing the accumulation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business resultsPartnering with local leadership team providing financial guidance and support as neededCoordinating and preparing internal financial statementsCoordinating activities of internal auditorsProviding management with information vital to the decision-making processManaging the budget process and forecasting processesAssessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processesEvaluating accounting and internal control systemsEvaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as neededDeveloping and monitoring business performance metricsOverseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and complianceHiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staffQualifications, skills, experience and personal characteristics required:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing accountingAbility to lead others, resolve problems and manage conflict in a positive and productive manner.Strong attention to detail and accuracy while adhering to tight deadlines.Familiar with GAAP and standard accounting practicesCPA or CMA preferred but not requiredPassion for growth and an understanding of the company's strategic goalsSuccessful experience translating irregularities in the "numbers" to actionable opportunities or risk mitigation.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
