Early Childhood Teacher

We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our Westbrook team. Serving children ages 12 months to 5 years, this role requires creativity, energy, and a deep understanding of early childhood best practices. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for fostering curiosity, building relationships, and supporting each child’s unique developmental journey. Key Responsibilities Provide attentive, responsive care and supervision for children in the Yearling classroom. Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage sensory exploration, motor skill development, early language acquisition, and social-emotional growth. Foster trusting relationships with children and families, creating a strong sense of community and belonging. Maintain a clean, safe, and thoughtfully organized classroom that supports exploration and independence. Collaborate with teaching colleagues and administrators to ensure consistent implementation of curriculum and routines. Document and assess developmental milestones, sharing regular updates with families. Qualifications Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed early childhood program strongly preferred. Solid understanding of early childhood development principles and developmentally appropriate practices. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
