Structured Cabling Technician

We are currently searching for motivated, hard working, reliable individuals to work in our Chantilly office. This is an entry to mid-level manual labor position. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate! The position is a project based position with more than likely full-time hours. Hours are subject to fluctuate throughout the year due to nature of industry. Overtime and weekend work is common throughout busy times. May work nights. Responsibilities and Duties Label, pull, and terminate cable Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment Maintain a professional appearance and represent employer in a positive manner. Follow established safety practices and procedures Working with Lead Technician to schedule/update/complete projects Work ALL hours per the Customers request for project timelines Qualifications and Skills The position of Installation requires the following attributes: technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, self-discipline, focus and attention to detail and punctuality High School diploma or General Education Degree Possess a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver's license Must pass background check Experience using hand tools of the A/V and electronic related trades is a plus. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, wire strippers and crimpers for varying types of wire and cable, soldering tools/techniques, construction equipment such as scaffolding, hoists, pulleys, (concrete, brick & block) attachment devices, unistrut steel support, etc. Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds Must be able to work in high places and in small cramped places Must be able to work in hot humid places as well as cold places Must be able to maintain the following attributes while under pressure from deadlines: technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, self-discipline, focus and attention to detail Must be able to maintain a safety-minded approach to all activities Benefits and Perks Company 401K plan with Employer Contribution Match Company Paid Time Off Choice of Medical Coverage including PrescriptionPlans #J-18808-Ljbffr
