Administrative Assistant (Mount Airy, NC)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of the Plant Manager and Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support across a wide range of functions, including Training, employee records management, onboarding, and general office tasks. This role is critical in helping ensure a smooth and efficient office operation. Key Responsibilities: Process inbound shipments of raw materials Prepare and distribute Job Routers for the production team. Backup support for coordinating and processing outbound shipments Assist with facilitating Employee training needs Assist with onboarding new hires and communicating with new employees Maintain and update employee files. Support the onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees. Coordinate and schedule meetings, training, and events. Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Perform general administrative tasks such as managing supplies, filing, data entry, checking mail, and document preparation. Answer phones and greet guests Other Duties as assigned Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in an administrative or HR support role. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems (preferred). Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset. Background in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment is a plus. This is a non-management position This is a full time position
