Join the top Earth-Moving Machinery Company as Manufacturing Technology Engineer job opportunity.Please find the details as below:Manufacturing Technology EngineerLocation – Mossville, IllinoisDuration: 24 Months of long-term contract with possible extensionPosition:We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong shop floor domain expertise and digital product mindset to partner with IT and Azure DevOps (ADO) teams in the development and deployment of manufacturing specific digital tools.The ideal candidate understands manufacturing processes deeply, can translate operational needs into clear digital requirements, and is comfortable working in Agile / DevOps delivery environments.Tasks:Manufacturing & Operational Leadership:Represent manufacturing operations in the design of digital tools (e.g., OEE, connected equipment, digital twins, production analytics)Define process intent, loss mechanisms, and operational constraints to guide solution developmentEnsure digital capabilities align with shop‑floor realities, safety standards, and quality systemsSupport pilot deployments and validate solutions in live manufacturing environmentsDigital Product & DevOps Collaboration:Partner with IT and product teams using Azure DevOps to develop manufacturing capabilitiesCreate and refine Epics, Features, and Acceptance Criteria that reflect manufacturing outcomesContribute to Agile planning, backlog refinement, and incremental delivery (MDP → MVP → MMP)Support trade‑off decisions between standardization, localization, and scalabilityRequirements & Data TranslationTranslate manufacturing problems into clear, testable digital requirementsIdentify critical data signals and events needed to support operational decision‑makingDefine functional and non‑functional requirements (performance, reliability, usability)Ensure traceability from manufacturing need → digital feature → deployed capabilityCross‑Functional AlignmentFacilitate workshops with manufacturing, IT, data, and leadership stakeholdersAlign multiple facilities around common digital standards and operating modelsActively prevent scope creep and reinforce outcome‑driven developmentSupport change management and adoption of digital tools on the shop floorTop 3 Skills:Experience working in manufacturing or production environments (machining, assembly, fabrication, etc.)Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, equipment behavior, and process flowsExperience collaborating with IT, software, or digital product teamsAdditional Technical Skills:(Required)Working knowledge of Agile delivery concepts and Azure DevOps (or similar platforms)(Desired) Experience supporting or delivering digital manufacturing products (OEE, MES, analytics, connected equipment, digital twins)Familiarity with manufacturing data sources (PLC, SCADA, MES, CMMS, historians)Experience in multi‑site manufacturing environmentsExposure to DevOps, CI/CD concepts, or digital product lifecycle modelsExperience supporting pilot‑to‑scale digital implementationsEducation and Experience requirements:Bachelor’s Degree Plus 09+ years of experience requiredMaster’s Degree Plus 06+ Years of experience requiredInternship will be counted towards minimum experience
