A career at embecta means being part of a team that values your opinions and contributions and that empowers you to bring your authentic self to work.  Here our employees can fulfill their life’s purpose through the work that they do every day.You will learn and work alongside inspirational leaders and colleagues who are equally passionate and committed to fostering an inclusive, growth-centered, and rewarding culture.  Our Total Rewards program – which includes competitive pay, benefits, continuous learning, recognition, career growth and life balance components – is designed to support the varying needs of our diverse and global employees.Core ResponsibilitiesEssential functions include but are not limited to:Deliver capital and non-capital engineering projects supporting plant safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectivesLead projects through concept, design, build, test, validation, and production handoffServe as engineering owner for assigned projectsEngineering & Technical ExecutionDesign, specify, and validate manufacturing equipment and toolingDevelop and test new manufacturing technologies and materialsSupport new product development and prototype buildsLead technical problem solving and root cause investigationsConduct equipment design reviews and risk assessmentsProject ManagementDevelop project scope, schedules, and cost estimatesTrack timelines, budgets, and resourcesPrepare capital requests and manage approved fundingCoordinate cross-functional teams to meet project milestonesVendor & Cross-Functional CollaborationServe as liaison to equipment and material suppliersManage vendor design reviews, FAT, installation, and startupCoordinate with manufacturing, quality, facilities, and maintenance teamsValidation & Change ManagementLead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), IQ/OQ/PQ, and equipment validationImplement and validate engineering changes and alternate materialsEnsure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirementsDocumentation & CommunicationAuthor technical documentation including machine specifications, validation protocols, capital requests, and test reportsCommunicate project status, risks, and results to stakeholdersTechnical SkillsMechanical or manufacturing system designEquipment specification, testing, and validationCAD (preferred)Manufacturing materials and processesProject Management SkillsScope, schedule, and budget managementCapital project planning and executionResource coordination and risk managementTools & SystemsProficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Project (or equivalent)SAP experience preferredProfessional SkillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective verbal and written communicationTechnical documentation and report writingAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teamsOTHER FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES) May Not Be All InclusiveAll requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves or other associates.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
