Senior Accountant - Private Equity & Alternative Investments

Job Title: Senior Accountant – Private Equity & Alternative Investments Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid) Employment Type: Contract / Project-Based Industry: Global Financial Services & Outsourcing Position Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a global leader in financial solutions and tailored outsourcing. This is a critical role within the Alternative Investments division, responsible for the end-to-end financial management of complex fund structures across the US, Europe, and Asia. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Fund Accounting and a proven track record of navigating the regulatory and reporting complexities unique to Private Equity. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Oversee and prepare comprehensive financial statements and fund-level reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS . Fund Administration: Manage capital calls, distributions, and the maintenance of partner capital accounts. Reconciliation & Analysis: Perform complex account reconciliations and Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for alternative investment vehicles. Compliance: Ensure all reporting and accounting stay strictly compliant with global regulatory frameworks and specific partnership agreements. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate monthly/quarterly closes. Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in the accounting cycle, leveraging advanced Excel functions and specialized accounting software. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Required). Certification: CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred. Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years focused specifically on Private Equity, Hedge Funds, or Alternative Investments . Technical Skills: * Mastery of U.S. GAAP and IFRS standards. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, complex modeling). Experience with fund accounting software (e.g., Investran, eFront, or Yardi) is a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills for collaborating with a global team and high-profile clients.
