She / He will also be required to do programming, calibration, tests and installation of such equipment. She / He must have a thorough understanding of PLCs, VFDs, servos, communication systems, sensors and other high tech components and equipment.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot faulty equipment, diagnose malfunctions, perform corrective actions to restore working conditionMaintain and repair PLCs, VFDs, vision system, sensors, communication network, control panels and other control related equipment and componentsProgram PLCs, VFDs, servos, HMI as requiredInstall, test and calibrate electronics components in systems and control panelsAssist major issues by being the on-site hands and eyes of a remotely connected OEMUpdate schematics when changes are madeDevelop a deep understanding of the plant's equipment ladder programmingBecome the industrial control expert and go-to resource in the plantPerform all duties with diligence and attention to detailsRequirementsTechnical degree in industrial controls/PLC or equivalent education/experience5-10 years of relevant experience in industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industryPractical experience and working knowledge of Rockwell components and software, such as: RS logix 500/5000, Factory talk View Studio, Panel BuilderMust possess effective written and verbal communication skillsMust possess a strong curiosity, willing to learn and understand the plant's ever evolving technologyMust be able to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidaysThis position has been identified as a safety sensitive position within Leclerc Foods USA, Inc.#100Position SummaryReporting to the Maintenance manager, the maintenance control technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing electronics, PLC and robotic equipment in the facility.
