Implementation Manager - Mobile Networks

Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and architecture of mobile network solutions, including RAN, core network, and transmission systems for LTE, 5G, and other mobile technologies. Ensure that network designs are optimized for coverage, capacity, and performance while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with radio planners and core network engineers to develop detailed implementation and optimization plans. Manage the complete lifecycle of mobile network projects, from initial planning and design through to deployment, integration, and optimization. Develop project plans with detailed timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. Conduct technical risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues during the deployment phase. Oversee the installation, configuration, and integration of mobile network elements, including BTS, NodeB, eNodeB, gNodeB, and core network components. Coordinate with field teams for the deployment of mobile network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards. Manage the integration of new mobile network components with existing systems, ensuring seamless handover and interoperability. Define and enforce quality assurance processes for mobile network implementations, including KPIs related to coverage, capacity, and throughput. Lead network optimization efforts, including RF tuning, parameter optimization, and performance monitoring to ensure networks meet SLA requirements. Conduct extensive testing, including drive tests, stress tests, and performance benchmarking, to validate network performance and resolve issues. Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network designs, configuration files, and test reports. Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., 3GPP), regulatory requirements, and company policies during the deployment and operation of mobile networks. Provide technical training and support to operations teams for the ongoing management and troubleshooting of the mobile network. Collaborate with vendors to select and procure mobile network equipment, ensuring it meets the project’s technical requirements. Coordinate with external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies, to align on technical specifications and project objectives. Manage technical discussions and negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to ensure the timely and accurate implementation of mobile network solutions. Essential Technical Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in the design, implementation, and management of mobile network projects, including LTE and 5G. Hands-on experience with RAN, core networks, and transmission technologies. Proficiency in mobile network design tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet) and project management software. Strong understanding of mobile network protocols (e.g., LTE, 5G NR, VoLTE, VoNR) and core network architectures (e.g., EPC, 5G Core). Experience with network testing and optimization tools, such as TEMS, Nemo, and Spectrum Analyzers. Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNP Wireless, 5G NR Specialist, or equivalent are highly desirable. Desired Technical Competencies: Deep knowledge of mobile network deployment and optimization strategies. Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a mobile network environment. Ability to lead technical teams and manage large-scale mobile network projects. Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
