Our client, an industry leader in automotive data, is seeking a hands-on Network Manager/Lead in Reston, Virginia; Southfield, Michigan; or London, Canada. This is a 4-day-a-week in-office hybrid position. No visa transfer is available for this position. No agencies, please.What you'll be doing:Managing a Team Responsible for network access and edge.Collaboration Working with peer managers and leaders throughout the organization to understand their needs and build connectivity solutions that allow their teams to work anywhere.Firewall Expertise: Your team is responsible for Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls in campus and data center environments. You’ll focus on the logic, integration, and rule lifecycle of these tools rather than physical hardware deployment.Remote Access Expertise: Your team is responsible for Zscaler and Prisma remote access solutions.Identity & Access Management: Your team bridges the gap between networking and identity by administering Cisco ISE and ensuring all devices are properly integrated. Your goal is to manage clean, sponsored access policies that follow a true lifecycle from start to finish.Modern Security Layers: Beyond traditional firewalling, you’ll manage internal micro-segmentation using Akamai Guardicore and protect our perimeter with Data Dome anti-fraud tools.End-User Collaboration: You’ll work closely with our desktop teams to ensure VPN clients and certificates deploy smoothly on the "last mile."Participate in on-call rotations.Have fun, learn, and grow!What we're looking for:5+ years of management experience in network engineering.Experience and ease in interacting with non-technical leadership at all levels.Deep commit to customer satisfaction.Ability to develop and mentor a technical team with different levels of experience.Commitment to high team morale and work-life balance.Must have foundational knowledge of traditional networking (switching, routing, ACLs, etc.)Ability to operate effectively in a multi-vendor environment.Experience with managing end-user VPNs with thousands of users in a global environment.3+ years of experience with Fortinet and Zscaler.3+ years of experience with Palo Alto, Prisma, and PanoramaReal-world experience securing data centers and campus offices.
