W2-NO C2C/1099Onsite: NY, NYHigh level scope of Senior Program/Project resource servicesBe an extension to structured cabling team onsite Dedicated to the team (flexible to attend ad hoc meetings if required including weekends/overtime) Subject matter expert in the field Attend site walks, meetings as requiredDocument and issue field observation reportsEnsure telecom infrastructure installation aligns with BICSE/TIA/local codes and GTI structured cabling standardsAttend construction and coordination meetings between Architectural, MEP, AV, Security, Smart Building(IoT), WiFi, DAS, Auxiliary Radio Communications, Vertical Transport Develop tracker updates, port matrixes Review/analyze telecom bids Coordinate meetings between different teams for coordination/reviews Review RFIs responses by design telecom consultantsReview Telecom design documents and issue comments (via PDF markups, log tracker) Ensure design aligns with GTI structured cabling standards Construction Administration Site walks as neededDocument and issue field observation reportsEnsure telecom infrastructure installation aligns with BICSE/TIA/local codes and GTI structured cabling standards Attend construction and coordination meetings between Architectural, MEP, AV, Security, Smart Building(IoT), WiFi, DAS, Auxiliary Radio Communications, Vertical Transport Review RFIs responses by Telecom design consultants Close out documents supervisionshell ready, room ready & production ready checklist signoffspull patch schedule completed by low voltage contractorFiber/Copper test results As built drawing (Revit/CAD/PDFs) Warranty and certification documentationThe manager would like to see a structured cabling engineer with project management experience as a plus. (RCDD cert is a plus) Candidate Profile • Experience Level: Some level of project management (PM) experience required • Career Path: Ideally a lead engineer who transitioned into a PM role • Background: o Started as a data center or structured cabling technician o Progressed into senior engineering roles o Recently moved into project management (hands on technical exp is most important with the PM skills. Hands on technical Project/Program Manager Skills & Attributes • Strong communication and presentation skills • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Work Environment • Onsite requirement: at least 4 days per week in NY, NY Project Scope Two Phases: 1. Decommissioning Phase o Ripping out old legacy technology 2. Implementation Phase o Installing new tech, cabling, desktops, etc. Ideal Project Experience: • Decommissioning and/or large-scale data center work • New build or tech refresh in a corporate buildingThey are looking for someone with about 80% engineering to 20% PM experience currently.
