AWS Cloud Engineer
Position Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and governance of enterprise-grade cloud platforms on AWS. This role demands deep expertise in cloud architecture, automation, DevOps pipelines, and observability frameworks to ensure performance, scalability, and operational excellence across mission-critical workloads.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure AWS cloud environments supporting enterprise applications.
Design and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation to ensure consistency, reliability, and repeatability across deployments.
Build, optimize, and operate CI/CD pipelines leveraging Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab to enable seamless and automated software delivery.
Engineer and deploy container-based platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, and EKS to support microservices and cloud-native workloads.
Establish and manage end-to-end observability frameworks using AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, and Dynatrace to enable proactive monitoring and system health visibility.
Design and maintain dashboards, alerts, and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) in Datadog to deliver actionable operational intelligence.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and compliance through CloudFormation and other Infrastructure-as-Code solutions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, SRE, and operations teams to enhance system reliability, incident management, and performance optimization.
Integrate Datadog APM, logs, metrics, and distributed tracing with AWS services and application ecosystems to support full-stack observability.
Enforce cloud security, governance, and cost-optimization frameworks aligned with AWS best practices and enterprise compliance standards.
Preferred / Desirable Skills
Hands-on experience working with container orchestration platforms such as ECS, EKS, and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of application performance monitoring (APM), distributed tracing, and log management architectures.
Exposure to additional observability and monitoring tools including CloudWatch, Splunk, and similar platforms.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
