Bartender
Job Description
The position of a bartender consists of mixing and serving drinks, as well as food, to patrons directly or through the wait staff.Tasks:Balance cash receiptsCheck identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchasing alcoholClean bars, work areas and tablesClean and polish glasses, utensils and bar equipmentCollect money for drinks servedCollect multiple tabs for customersMix ingredients , such as liquor, soda, juice, water, sugar, bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinksServe wine, and bottled or draft beerStock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, garnishes, etc.Take beverage orders from serving staff orc directly from patronsAttempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking or ordering transportation for intoxicated patrons.Qualifications and requirements:Highschool diplomaAbility to give full attention to what other people are saying, to actively look for ways to help people, and to be aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.POS previos experiencePrevious bartending experienceBilingual in English and Spanish prefferedCompetencies (in order of importance)Dependability - Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligationsSelf-Control - Job requires maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situationsSocial Orientation - Job requires preferring to work with others rather than alone and being personally connected with other on the job and the guestsIntegrity - Job requires being honest and ethicalCooperation - Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
