Visual Arts Faculty Member - Photography

Millbrook School seeks a photography teacher for the 2026-27 academic year. The teacher will teach all levels of photography while stewarding Millbrook's photography studio space.Candidates Should Have The Following Technical ExperienceComfort with Mac operating systems and proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.Knowledge of or willingness to learn Dropbox for archiving student work.Large and medium format digital printing.Experience with photographic alternative processes like cyanotype.Experience with darkroom development and printing.Photography at Millbrook is a vibrant program that serves students at the beginning of their journeys as artists as well as those who are advanced and may attend art school. Millbrook's arts department is highly collaborative, working in the Holbrook Arts Center, where visual and performing arts are gathered under one roof. Here, teachers and students explore a contemporary framework for art making and performing that is interdisciplinary both within the arts center and beyond.In addition to teaching, this position includes coaching or supervising an afternoon program for two out of three seasons, supporting our social-emotional program on Saturday mornings, and serving as an advisor for up to six students. Full-time faculty members are also expected to participate in community service, evening responsibilities, activities, assemblies, and attend required meetings and workshops. The primary goal of a teaching faculty member is to ensure that each student reaches their highest potential . Housing may be provided and would entail residential life duties. Energy for adolescents, adaptability, humor, and integrity are the hallmarks of Millbrook's faculty.Salary range for this teaching position is $41,000 - $90,000.
