Expected Compensation Range: $60,000 to $90,000 yearly
Cloudburst is seeking to hire a full-time Environmental Review Analyst to support state and local organizations that receive funding through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grants and programs.
In a direct support role to HUD’s Office of Environment and Energy, this position will work to improve grantee capacity to advance and sustain environmental compliance; foster environmental and cultural stewardship, support the provision of decent, safe, and high-performing housing; and prepare environmental reviews to evaluate a project’s potential environmental impacts to determine whether it meets federal, state, and local environmental standards.
Requirements:
Qualified applicants will have the following:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, advanced training, or equivalent experience and at least six years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a related field with at least two years of related experience
Demonstrated experience with HUD Environmental Review (Part 50 and Part 58) processes that assess projects for potential environmental impacts and compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and related laws and authorities.
Experience with HUD Community Planning and Development (CPD) programs, such as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) or HOME Investments Partnership Program.
Experience with HUD’s Environmental Review Online System (HEROS)
Experience with HUD CPD Programs (CDBG and HOME preferred)
Ability to prioritize concurrent tasks while working under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to work on remote and in-person teams
Willingness to learn new skills and programs
Excellent oral and written communications
