The team focuses on a data-driven strategy for making decisions by studying historic usage trends and is moving towards predicting how users will interact with the organization's products.The MART group loves what they do and needs someone who equally shares the joy and passion of working with data and driving product performance by building a sound understanding of their users through creative problem solving.The ideal candidate is a great team player, has experience in predictive analysis, data modeling and familiarity with a multitude of technologies. You should also have proven analytical skills; strong experience in writing Python code, SQL queries, designing database tables, and engaging Tableau to create forecasting reports and predictive models.Competencies:Advanced knowledge of statistical programming language PythonSolid experience in developing Tableau reportsClear understanding of logical and physical database design and dataStrong database skills (MySQL, SQL Server) and ability to write, optimize and fine-tune complex SQL scriptsDeep understanding of statistics and algorithmsResponsibilities:Make recommendations regarding collection, extraction and transformation of large data setsInterpret data and analyze resultsTranslate analytical insights into clear recommendations; identify trends and patterns to inform business decisions and product designLeverage Python to analyze complex dataDesign and develop customized interactive reports and dashboards in TableauWork on Tableau Server maintenance, scheduling, upgrades, etc.Leverage TabPy and the PostgreSQL Tableau server repository to analyze and build dashboardsAutomate processes using PythonDefine and develop a data migration strategy between different products and platformsDevelop creative ways to identify and use data that significantly impact key business metricsAssess the potential usefulness and validity of new data sourcesUtilize statistical approaches to build predictive modelsMentor other team members/analysts to grow their skills and careersQualifications:B.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering or equivalent work experienceMust have 5+ years of experience and proven track record in solving business problems through fact-based and scientific analytics.
